Kiungo wa Simba Mohamed Banka (kulia) akichuana na mchezaji wa Bunamwaya katika mchezo wa robo fainali ya michuano ya Kagame katika Uwanja wa Taifa, Dar es Salaam, Simba ilishinda mabao 2-1 na kutinga hatua ya nusu fainali.

Mchezaji Haruna Moshi "Boban" akijaribu kumtoka mchezaji wa Bunamwaya. 

Maelfu ya mashabiki wa Simba wakifuatilia mchezo wa timu yao ilipokuwa inacheza.

KENYAN league champions Ulinzi have been knocked out of the Cecafa Kagame Cup after losing 9-8 on penalties to El Mereikh of Sudan in a dramatic quarter-final clash played in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Following a 1-1 draw in normal time, the teams battled through a tense series of spot-kicks before the Sudanese champions eventually emerged as winners.

Defender Hussein Mohammed saw his spot-kick saved by Egyptian international keeper Essam El Hadary, who eventually netted the decisive penalty, which took his team through to the last four.

Hadary scored two penalties and saved three while Ulinzi's keeper scored one and saved two. One player from each team sent the other two spot-kicks skywards.

Jonas Sakuwana had given El Mereikh the lead three minutes from time, but George Otieno headed a Stepeh Waruru cross into the goal to send the game straight to penalties.

In the second quarter-final match, also played at the National Stadium, Tanzanian giants Simba deservedly edged out Bunamwaya 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals.

Buoyed by thousands of home fans, the Msimbazi club went for the jugular and bombarded the Ugandans' goal area. But superb goalkeeping heroics by the Bunamwaya keeper kept the scoreline respectable, especially following a second-half onslaught from the Tanzanian side.

The other two quarter-final matches will be played tomorrow.
